Kids (2017-2018)

At the origin of the project, there were two events. First, there was this series of incredible storms that shook the planet in October 2017. Then there was this client, Marie, whom I visited to understand her energy, her family, her house ... to understand where she stood in her life to create a commissioned work that would fit her perfectly. When I left this meeting, I was highly inspired to create a painting where we could see two colorful and vibrant hurricanes going in the same direction. The two hurricanes represent her two children, and the energy deployed reflects the climate of the house, where things are being destroyed, created, transformed, to the rhythm of the evolution of these two Forces of Nature.
The subjects studied in this new ''Kids'' series are those titanic and destructive beings who have no intrinsic intent to harm. Superpowers, daughters, and sons of Titans, whom I perceive as innocent and temporal as children who would be unconsciously destroying their surroundings.
The first part of this series depicted storms photographed on Earth, but then I found these amazing images of the planet Jupiter, taken by satellite Juno. I took inspiration in this incredible ethereal work of art from Nature.
